My wife, child, and I moved into the Greenbrier area last year. One of the many reasons was for our child to benefit from the amazing experience of being a part of our small yet powerful Greenbrier Public School. I feel that a child’s education extends beyond just the walls. It also includes the communal play in the green space around the school that encourages imagination, social interactions, and physical activity. As an Optician and Manager of a local business I value the importance of our future generations having the skills to not only succeed academically, but socially as well. It saddened me when, like many of you, I received a letter from the city telling us that they were going to remove the only play structure at Greenbrier Public School… I feel this structure not only provided our children a great opportunity during school hours. It also facilitated all members of our neighborhood in allowing our children to get off of the screens and enjoy the great outdoors together!
